About Me

Hello there!

I'm Betina, a high school student with a deep passion for books and international relations.
The intricate web of diplomacy, global governance, and the way countries interact on issues like trade, human rights, and conflict resolution fascinates me. I'm especially drawn to the influence of organizations such as the United Nations, the World Bank, and others shaping our interconnected world.
I was born in Brazil, a country known for its vibrant culture, rich history, and diverse ecosystems, and spent part of my childhood in the sun-soaked city of Rio de Janeiro. Growing up by the beach with Brazil's natural beauty has given me a special love for the outdoors and the resilience that Brazilians are known for.

Alongside my Brazilian heritage, I also have roots in Russia and Italy, which has broadened my perspective on the world and deepened my appreciation for different cultures.
I'm passionate about traveling, a quick learner, and diving into classical films - Forrest Gump is my all-time favorite. Family is a big part of my life, and I'm close to my two older brothers and my younger sister. Through all these experiences, I've developed a deep appreciation for connecting with others, which is why I started Books Across Borders-to share the gift of books with people around the world.
When I'm not immersed in my studies or reading, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I'm thrilled that you're here and hope you'll join our Books Across Borders community-whether as a donor, traveler, or simply someone interested in learning more about how we can share the gift of books with the world.
Let's connect and make a global impact together!

Yours,

Betina
